Happy 8th Birthday, Bear

Can't believe I have an 8-year-old!  What fun he's been in my life.  To further develop this theme, I reference a paragraph he wrote at school today where he tells about his talents.  What is his talent you ask?

This is awesome- and he really is silly from 7am -9pm (the times he's awake and functioning- so full time silliness).
Birthday cupcake cake to share with the class.  So much fun, but I couldn't get a smile out of him.  Already by third grade we feel the pressure of bein cool...

Ok- I had this project on my to-do list ever since I visited Jessica's blog at http://www.travisandjessicacox.com/2012/08/cabbage-patch-doll-hat-tutorial.html
I just loved this post of hers! and since I had these dolls at home as a kiddo I knew this would be a hoot to create and have my little lady model.  Thanks Jess for the great tutorial- super easy to follow along.

So here's how it turned out with a little tweaking.

And a profile shot, thank you for the cooperation miss Bee.

By this point I was laughing so hard at how crazy cute this was on her and how funny this turned out she was starting to crack up herself.

For a while I couldn't figure out how to get my 6-month-old to smile at me from behind the camera because she was too interested in the camera- but if I peek my head out and smile a big smile at her she'll stop staring at the camera- yay problem solved- just sometimes my picture isn't quite centered.

Do you remember these dolls?  Mine was well-loved that's for sure.  And I just love this little cutie and her sunny personality!  Thanks again Jess for posting somethin so fantastica!!

NOTD
Quick post here- I loooved loved loved this color Holo Chrome from Kleancolor.  Was hard to take my eyes off it.  Their polishes can be a little gummy, but for under a buck- if you have patience to let the layers dry in between, then it ain't a bad price for the rockin' colors I've swatched from them so far.  Little Bear gave me like 50 of em for my bday.  He picked all the colors himself it was so cute.

  2. Do you mind me featuring it on my blog with a picture of your sweet girl in it? Go ahead and email me at jcoxcreations {at} gmail {dot} com if that's ok! I have the post all written up, but I wasn't sure how you felt about me putting up a picture of your sweet girl without permission! So let me know! I really am thrilled it turned out!
