Misa Summer 2014: Live Application and Review

Hi loves!  I have another Summer collection to share with you today and this time it comes from the brand Misa.  I really love Misa polishes but I don't purchase them very often because I can only find them online, but they just came out with a new collection and I was dying to try them again.  The collection is called Riding All the Rides at the County Fair and that totally takes me back to my childhood.  Every Summer for my birthday I would go to the fair with my best friend and we'd get the bracelets to ride the rides all day long.  We wouldn't even mess with the food or pavilions, we were there for the rides.  If you want to see a video that gives you live application of all 6 polishes, you can find that here:

These polishes are all primary colors, and like I mention in the video they feel a little dusty, a little weather-worn, which I really liked about them.  Let's look at some pictures:

First up is this lovely light to medium green cream called Gravitron.  I have shown you two coats here and you definitely need both, but the color is so gorgeous.  I guess this is my favorite out of the bunch and it applied easy with no issues, just like the rest of them.

Loop-de-Loop is a super bright red/orange cream.  This one isn't really anything we haven't seen before but it is really nice if you were looking to own some Misa basics.  This is two coats.

Misa Power Surge is a dusty cornflower blue.  Easy in two coats, you might even be able to get away with one.  I really enjoy this color, but again, we've seen this done quite a bit but it's a great basic from Misa.

Probably my other favorite of this collection is this ultra bright orange called Shoot the Chute.  This one's kind of a thinner formula so it may qualify as a crelly polish but as  you can see it becomes opaque at two coats.  I really liked this one because I don't have that many orange polishes that I actually like how they look on, and I did feel like this one was wearable for me.

They gave us a pink called Tilt-a-Whirl, but it does look very similar to the red and the orange.  They all give me this super bright, country feel.  So, it feels mostly orange, with some pink mixed in.  You're looking at two coats and this applied very easily just like the rest.

To finish things off we have this lovely banana/lemon cream called Tumble Bug.  I'm showing you two coats here, but there is still a little bit of nail showing through, so you might want to go for three.  So glad they put a nice purty yellow cream in here, although it could have an easier formula admittedly.  However, it's not like its in any way unusable.  These types of issues are very usual in yellow polishes.

And there you have it.  I really did enjoy this collection, while I did feel that it could have had some more original colors, but perhaps they just felt like some nice basic primary creams were missing from their family of polishes.  I purchased my set from transdesign.com where you can find them for a pretty fair price.  What do you think of this collection, and the brand as a whole?  I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!  I'll see you back tomorrow.
