Saturday Random Swatchfest: 5/10/2014

Hey Peeps!  Happy Saturday- I hope your weekend is going well.  As usual, I have 10 random polishes for you to check out today.  Each of these lovies haven't had the chance to be featured in any way on my blog yet, so it's their time to shine.  Let's get going:
China Glaze Just Be-claws is a very cheery cherry, very appropriate for Christmas time, although I surely would not be above wearing it any other time of year.  As you can see, it has a silver shimmer running throughout which gives it that something special.  This is two coats and applied easily and evenly.  Just Be-claws comes from the 2013 Happy Holiglaze collection.  A

Spoiled Pretty in Punk is a lovely mid-toned pink that you can pick up at CVS for under two dollars.  This line, by Wet n Wild, is their most fun and funky offering of shades in my opinion.  This pink cream applied perfectly in two coats and wore nicely.  For the price, it can't be beat :)  A

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Tango-rine is kind of this satin finished frost, as strange as that sounds.  I have to say, I was not the biggest fan of this color on the nails.  I did think the unique finish was really fun, but the color wasn't flattering or highly desirable.  You're looking at three coats here to get this level of opacity.  Not sure I'll be reaching for this polish any time soon... C

Brash Pineapple Party was such a funky shade.  I really wasn't sure I was going to like this when I first got it on.  The first coat was thin, but after the second one, it evened out nicely.  Then, the longer I had it on, I really started to dig it.  Its kinda this icy-pale yellow/green and even though you can still see visible nail line after two coats, I really did like this one overall.  I think I picked this up at a Payless sometime; that might make it hard to find if you're really interesting in it- sorry about that.  A

Julep Susie is an uber-pale green cream.  You're looking at two coats and truthfully I didn't love this one.  I think the formula was too thick and I just didn't love the color.  Maybe I need to give it another chance, but initially that was my feeling about it.  B

Sinful Colors Kissy is so interesing, but rather sheer.  This is three coats and you still see vnl, but the color is so fun.  It's an ocean green, with gold and blue shimmer running throughout.  I really don't have anything like it.  It's a crelly finish and I give it a B+

Sephora by OPI I Don't Bite is silvered-purple, but it's not quite a metallic.  Instead, it has silver glitter particles in it.  Actually, as a purple-lover, it saddens me that I didn't love this one.  I found it clearanced at a Big Lots so I didn't invest in it much, but still I was hoping for a nicer formula and consistency.  Oh well, for every polish there is a time and place ;)  B-

Color Club Coastline is a gorgeous matte textured polish from the Seasalt collection.  I thought they did a great job with their matte textures, not as much with their metallic and shimmer though, unfortunately.  Also, my camera kind of washed this polish out just a bit, but just know- it's a clean, crisp white.  I love it.  A

OPI Which is Witch over China Glaze Dress Me Up is a combination of small bar and hex holo glitters in a clear base.  If I were to do this manicure again I'd use the glitter over a nude closer to my skin color because I think it looks lovely over a natural base.  This comes from the Oz collection and I wasn't sure I was going to love it because I'm not that passionate about glitters, but I'm really glad I stumbled upon this little lady at TJ Maxx one fateful day.  A

My A+ color of the week comes from a recently released collection of polishes from Sinful Colors and it's called Peppered Amazon.  First off, the teal quality of this green makes the color absolutely divine, and then you add in all the finely-milled silver shimmer and you simply have magic.  This is two coats for perfection.  If you were wondering if you should snag any of these new ones from the three recent displays that came out, definitely grab this one.

And that's it!  You know my favorite, which was yours?  What were you wearing on your nails this week? What do you have on your fabulous list of must-have polishes that I need to know about??  I hope you're having a great weekend and I'll see you back tomorrow!  Take care.
