China Glaze Electric Nights Summer 2015 Collection

China Glaze has a great collection out for Summer called Electric Nights.  If you would like to see my live application review of the whole collection, you can do so here:

Can I Get an Untz Untz is a great clear-based glitter that I've swatched here over white.  It's made up of green, purple and blue matte glitters.

Daisy Know My Name is a yellow-green that is still a bit sheer at two coats, but it's totally workable.

Dj Blue My Mind is a bright, medium blue.  So easy to apply and so pretty.

Glow With the Flow is a beautiful cool-toned bright pink cream.  This is two coats.

Home Sweet House Music is a gorgeous orange that's just slightly on the yellow side.  Such an easy application.

Another glitter in the collection, this is Let the Beat Drop, again swatched over white.  There are orange, pink, and purple matte glitters in a clear base coat.

Plur-ple is one of the two purples in the collection.  This one is the cool-toned violet and great at two coats.

Point Me to the Party is the third clear-based glitter with all the colors from the other two combined. It's such a fun party in a bottle.

Red-y to Rave is a bright red/orange cream that applied like a dream.

Treble Maker is a great, super bright ninja turtle green cream.  I'm showing you two coats here.

UV Meant to Be is the lighter blue in the collection.  This is two easy coats.

Last up is the second purple, Violet Vibes.  This one has a bit of a sheerer formula and is definitely more fuchsia than the other purple.  In my opinion they are different enough to warrant having both.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Saturday Random Swatchfest 4/18/2015

Catching up on Saturday Random Swatchfests from months passed when I was feeling too nauseated to blog.  Still, these polishes need their time in the sun.  If you'd like to watch the live application of each one, you can do so here:

All swatches will be two coats unless otherwise noted.
Kleancolor Blood is a great classic red cream that leans maybe just a tiny bit cool.  A

Pahlish Fleur de Sel is a super delightful pastel pink cream with specks of dark peach and tiny gold glitters throughout.  A

Pure Ice Hot Tamale is an amazing orange packed with gold shimmer.  If you're looking for your new favorite orange polish, look no further.  A

Zoya Dree is a very interesting green with some brown in it.  It applies nice and smoothly and won't be everyone's cup of tea but it's very unique in my collection.  A-

FingerPaints 15 Minutes of Frame is a lovely, bright teal that leans green.  This is two oats and is a bit streaky.  It could use a third.  B

Maybelline Blue Bombshell is an amazing bright, medium blue cream.  So vibrant and so special.  A

Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily is a light lilac purple with silver shimmer.  This is three coats and I still couldn't get it quite opaque enough.  C+

Essie For the Twill of It is a lovely purple/gray duochrome.  The purple flashes a bit pink so it's almost like a triochrome.  Such a cool polish and the application is easy.  A

Sparitual Citrine Luminary is a matte holo shredded glitter topcoat.  It really doesn't show up much on the nail but it makes for a great way to spice up a second or third day manicure.  B

China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le is my A+ polish of the week because the color is just so lovely.  It's soothing and sweet.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Color Club Poptastic Pastel Neon Remix Collection

Color Club has a glitter topper collection to go along with their pastel neons they released for this summer.  All the colors are coordinating and glow in the dark.  There are seven polishes in this collection and the swatches are of each topper over the coordinating polish in the other collection.  Each polish is just slightly tinted so they really don't change the color of the base shade very much.  If you'd like to see live application of each polish, you can do so here:

Boogie All Night Long over Feathered Hair Out to There

Call of the Disco Ball over Hot-Hot-Hot Pants

Feel the Funk over Diggin' the Dancing Queen

Get Down Tonight over Meet Me at the Rink

It's Electric! over Under the Blacklight

On the Flip Side over 'Til the Record Stops

Soul Sister over Disco's Not Dead

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Saturday Random Swatchfest 4/11/2015

Catching up on Saturday Random Swatchfests from months passed when I was feeling too nauseated to blog.  Still, these polishes need their time in the sun.  If you'd like to watch the live application of each one, you can do so here:

Zoya Isabel is a bright red/pink with some lovely lustre.  A

Sinful Colors Zest of Times is a super sheer hot pink shimmer.  At two coats you can still really see the nail underneath so it's probably much better-suited as a topper.  C

Maybelline Crushed Clementine is an amazing orange with bangin' yellow shimmer.  A

Spoiled Pirate's Booty is an awesome gold topper with a bit of pink flash in there too.  A

FingerPaints Sketch n Etch is a grassy green lustre polish that would probably be better at three coats but I've shown you just two here.  B-

Orly It's Up to Blue is a frosty teal on the deeper side.  I wish you couldn't see the brush strokes so much but I really love the color.  A-

KB Shimmer Right as Reign is a gorgeous deep violet, but it's not so deep that you can't still definitely tell it's purple.  Such a great formula.  This is two coats, but you don't really need more than one.  A

OPI Comet in the Sky is another glitter topper from the 2014 Winter collection.  Black and holo glitters make up this clear-based topper.  This is two coats.  A

Sally Hansen Groove-y! is a sheer cream-colored polish.  Wasn't too crazy about this one.  B-

Illamasqua Jo'mina is my A+ polish of the week, because just look at this color! Wow- such a lovely bright purple with an amazing formula.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Color Club Poptastic Pastel Neon Collection

Color Club has a beautiful neon pastel collection out for Summer made up of seven creams.  Some of these were a bit sheer at two coats, but the colors are so lovely I still really enjoyed them.  The formula wasn't sticky either and if you wanted to paint these all over white to make them even brighter you could certainly do that.  If you'd like to see live application of the whole collection, you can do so here:

Diggin' the Dancing Queen is the lovely bright orchid.  These will all be two coats unless otherwise noted. This one is definitely my favorite of the collection.

Disco's Not Dead is the gorgeous bright, light lemon.

Feathered Hair Out to There is the light bubblegum pink of the collection.

Hot-Hot-Hot Pants is a great peach that leans just a bit pink.

Meet Me At the Rink is a bright sky blue that's just a bit sheer as you can see at two coats.

Til' the Record Stops is another that's just a bit sheer, but just look at this lovely, bright pistachio.

Under the Blacklight is up last and as you can see, it's a bit streaky at two coats.  I'd either go for a third or put this over white, but I just love how bright it is.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Color Club Shift Into Neutral Collection

Color Club released a neutral collection at the early part of 2015.  It's made up of seven creams and I felt like this collection was a bit hit or miss.  If you'd like to see live application of the whole collection, you can do so here:

Barely There is a warm caramel nude that I didn't fall in love with; it was a bit sheer at two coats.  All the same, it would probably look great on another skin tone.

Blank Canvas is a white cream that was pretty patchy at two coats.  You could do a third, but I've shown you only two.

Blush Crush is a very sheer blush/cream color.  This is three coats and I really didn't care for it.

Get a Mauve on It was one that I did like.  It's a lovely cool-toned mauve/brown.  It was still a bit patchy but I liked the color.

Midnight Mulberry is the other polish I did enjoy.  The color is lovely and this is two easy coats.

New-tral was another great cream and had an easy two coat application.  It's kind of dusty too.

Sweet Mint is a very light pistachio cream.  This is two coats.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
