Saturday Random Swatchfest 6/6/2015

Hey guys! Welcome to another Swatchfest where we talk about random polishes from my stash.  If you want to watch the episode you can do so here:

Zoya Salma is a slightly frosty warm red that has a killer formula as usual.  This is two lovely coats.  A

China Glaze It's Poppin is a fantastic fruit punch pink cream with very subtle shimmer.  This polish is awesome!  This is two coats.  A

Sally Hansen Sorbet is from their Smooth and Perfect line of very light, sheer creams.  This one was nice, but like the rest a bit too sheer for my taste.  They're definitely going for a very subtle, chic look here but this is three coats and I wasn't that into it.  B-

Nicole by OPI This Green is a Scream is a really fun, Shrek green.  This is three coats though cuz it was a bit patchy.  I still think the color is a great time!  B+

Sally Hansen Parrot is such love!! I just adore this green.  The color is unique and the formula is excellent.  This is two easy coats.  A

Orly Skinny Dip is a bright leaning-neon sky blue.  This one applied a bit of a mess- you can see the bubbles on my swatch and this was streaky too.  I think the color's great but I couldn't get on board with the formula.  C+

Deborah Lippmann Harlem Nocturne is a lovely indigo metallic.  This is going towards chrome but it's not quite there. It really does showcase the ridges in my nails though, I'd definitely double up on basecoat next time around.  This is two coats. A-

OPI Haven't the Foggiest is a beautiful dark silver metallic.  This is two easy coats and it does show the brush strokes a bit, but I don't mind with something like this.  A

Sally Hansen Beach Ball is a fantastic patriotic glitter.  It has a clear base so it's nice over a lot of things and I put it over the Orly blue we looked at earlier.  I'm not that crazy about glitter but I can definitely appreciate this one.  B+

My A+ this week is the deep and divine Ulta Devious.  This is so sexy and dark but still purple enough.  I'm showing you two easy coats here, and no staining.

Thanks for stopping by!

Amour Spring 2015

Today we're looking at the rather gorgeous Spring collection from the brand Amour which can be found at transdesign.com.  This is a relatively inexpensive brand and has a pretty great formula and color choice here.  If you'd like to watch the review that I did on my channel, you can do so here:

The first polish in the collection is Bikini Body which is a beautiful orchid cream.  I adore this one, obviously due to my purple polish obsession.  This applies easily in two coats.  I really enjoyed it.

Bye Winter is the next polish and another purple, this time warmer and it's equally as delicious.  Again, this applies nicely in two coats.

Castaway is a pink crelly, this was a bit streaky at two coats, but the color is lovely.

Drinks on the Beach is another purple... I think this collection might have been made for me :)  Much more cool-toned and another great formula.

Florida Sun is a light peachy pink and again a bit streaky at two coats but it's so pretty.

Hello July is a neon mint green and this one was so fun to wear!  So incredibly bright.  As you can see on the index finger especially, it was a tad streaky at two coats but I still enjoyed it very much.

It's Hot in the Sun is one of my favorites from the whole set!  This color is just so great and did get pretty good coverage at two coats.  Pick up one of these and a purple if you get any.

June is Here is such a funny name for this polish.  It's a rather dreary gray which I love but the name just doesn't fit at all.

Kennedy's Fav Color is an awesome hot pink cream.  Well they're all creams here aren't they :) As far as pinks go, this is one I really do like.

Let's Get Tan is another one that seemed just a little out of place here but the color is still very beautiful.  This is two coats as with the rest.

Sleep by the Waves, another strange color for Spring, but what a lovely dusty rose.  This is two coats.

Warmer Weather is a yummy dark orange sherbet shade.  This is two coats and it was just a bit streaky.

I wish this brand had continued to put out collections.  The last one they did was for Fall/Winter 2015.

Saturday Random Swatchfest 5/30/2015

Welcome to this week's Swatchfest! We'll look at ten random polishes from my stash and I'll share which was my A+ polish of the week.  If you'd like to watch the review from my channel, you can do so here:

Revlon Vintage is a stunning deep red.  This covered well at two coats.  Not the most original polish in the world, but it was lovely.  A

L'oreal Butterfly Kisses is a pretty light pink-rose that has very subtle shimmer.  This applied well enough in two coats.  I thought it was ok.  B

Zoya Beyonnce is a lustrous bright orange and I don't really care for the finish but without the frost finish the color would be ok.  I received this polish free in a promotion Zoya was having.  Otherwise I'm sure I wouldn't have picked it up, but I hope some enjoy it.  B-

Spoiled Good Karma is a pretty teal luster with a great formula.  This color is so delicious.  Once upon a time I picked this up at CVS.  A

I love this color! This is Sally Hansen Hustle Up, and you're looking at two easy coats.  I wish Sally Hansen kept all their colors available for purchase, they have so many good ones in this line!  A

China Glaze Dorothy Who? is a beautiful base with blue microglitters that makes this polish look like sparkling water.  This is two coats.  A

Nicole by OPI Did He Wink at Me? is a gorgeous grape cream polish!  This applies easily in two coats and color is so awesome!  A

China Glaze Platinum Pieces is a rather sheer light silver crackle polish.  I never really cared for any crackle polish, but this one's especially unappealing because it's so light.  C-

Sinful Colors Shamrockin' is a glitter bomb- clear base, tiny white glitters, emerald green, spring green and large white flowers.  This glitter is actually really fun.  Such a great polish for springtime. A

Zoya Carter is a gorgeous Pixie Dust (Zoya's version of textured polish) with a deep violet base and beautifully-sparkling fuchsia microglitter.  This applies like a dream in two coats.  This can be worn with a topcoat or alone for a lovely matte finish.  A+

Thanks for coming to Swatchfest!

Sally Hansen Color Xpression Collection

Wow this collection has some beautiful shades.  Today I'm sharing with you the Color Xpression collection from Sally Hansen- in the Xtreme Wear line.  If you want to watch the live application review of the whole collection, you can do so here:

Dabbler is a beautiful dusty blue gray.  This is two coats and I think it's great!

Green Thumb is SUCH a gorgeous color!  Wow, I don't have many polishes in this shade.  This will be two coats, as with the rest.

La Vida Polka is such a fun bubble gum pink cream, a little warm.  This one's great!

Another one I love is Orchid Around.  Of course, I just love purples anyway, but this one's so dusty and pretty.

Pin-k Point is pretty similar to the other pink but it's lighter and dustier.  Another one they did a great job with.

Woo-hoo!  Another great shade, this is Royal Hue which is a slightly dusty cornflower.  If you spot it, grab it.

Sun Spots is a pretty lemon yellow cream.  It's doable at two coats.  Not the best ever but it's pretty good.

And then they go and put a beautiful taupe in here called Bare Hug.  Another one I loved!  Great two coat formula as with the rest.

This was one of my favorite collections that Xtreme Wear has every put out.  Loved it!

FingerPaints Tie Dye Revolution

The FingerPaints Tie Dye Revolution has some great primary brights.  If you'd like to see my live application review of the whole collection you can do so here:

Be Hippy is this lovely sky blue with a great two coats formula.

Far Out Fuchsia is a favorite!  The formula is so good.  It's not particularly unique but I enjoyed it.

Paper Mache is a pretty basic white cream.  Not the best formula, not the worst.

Peace, Love & Green was one I didn't love so much.  It just doesn't have the opacity I'm looking for.  It's sure a pretty color though.

Tie Dye Tangerine is a BEAUTIFUL orange cream.  So warm!! I love it.

Yellow Out Man is a pretty good yellow.  It's opaque enough at two coats and didn't let me down.

Hope you found something you liked. Thanks for stopping by.

Saturday Random Swatchfest 5/23/2015

Welcome to this week's Swatchfest!  If you'd like to watch the video and live application of these ten random polishes, you can do so here:

Oh my, Julep Rose is so gorgeous!  A rosy red, more red than rose.  The formula is just beautiful!  A

L.A. Girl Bubblegum is a warm pink.  It certainly doesn't have the best formula.  It isn't undoable but not my fave.  C+

Oh this color's so pretty.  This is Revlon Charmed and it's a beautiful lustery orange with a great two coat formula.  A

Another gorgeous polish, this is Zoya Bevin.  Applies perfectly in two coats, I just love this kind of gray sea green.  A

NYC High Line Green is a very pretty grass green but the formula isn't that great, as you can see it's kinda streaky at two coats.  B-

Sparitual Navigate is such a pretty metallic blue!  Unfortunately this shot is so yellow- try to look past it :(  I usually pick up every Sparitual polish I find at Marshalls cuz they're that good!  A

KB Shimmer A Raisin to Live is a deep blackberry jelly base with oodles of glitters packed in there.  This is two coats and it's just lovely.  A

Pure Ice Kiss Me Here is just such a favorite.  It's just two bucks and it's a beautiful warm gray cream.  A

e.l.f. Enchanted is such a fun glitter and I really enjoyed it over this green.  This is two easy coats.  A

Maybelline Navy Narcissist was my A+ polish this week.  It has such a great formula and the color is just fantastic!

Hope you're having a good one!
