Tuesday Tutorial: Argyle Nails

Hello again :)  It's time for a tutorial treat just for you.  The look I'm going to be showing you how to rock on your nails is an argyle pattern and looks like this.
This design is all over the place right now and another eye-popping, fun, youthful nail art for you to try out.

For this nail art you will need a striper brush, a dotting tool, white polish (I used Milani White On the Spot) and four bottles of polish- a light and dark polish each of two contrasting color families.

 Step One:
After applying a base coat to each nail, paint your nails in two coats of the lighter polish of one color family on most nails, and two coats of the lighter polish of the contrasting color on your accent nail.

Step Two: Using your striper brush paint a large X on each nail using the darker color of each color family.

Step Three: Using your dotting tool, fill in two triangles formed from the X you just made using the same colors used for striping.

Step Four: Using your striper brush again and your white polish paint additional lines in this pattern:

Step Five: Finish with a top coat and that's it! You've got yourself a beautiful argyle pattern on your   nails.

Hope you try this design for yourself.  Have a little patience with yourself- and don't take the striping too fast.  Just move your hand instead of the brush if you're feeling a little unsteady.  Catch you later =D
